I am so mad........  All of my information has been faxed to my insurance company today.  I had to do a nicotene screening (my insurance requires it) and  of course it was negative, i don't smoke...  But i was reading and it said that you have to be nicotene free for 60-90 days prior to surgery, WTF, i don't even smoke......... Does that mean that I have to 60-90 days after i have had the screening to have my surgery?

PLEASE HELP................ I am Pizzled!!

NO I don't believe so.. its just for smokers, they have to be smoke free for that long prior to surgery...( From what I understand)

Ruthann was this something you were reading from you surgeon's office or something actual from your insurance.  I have never seen a medical policy in a insurance policy about nicotene test.  Usually they are only required by the surgeon if you are a smoker or a former smoker some surgeons and anesthesiaologist require the test.

It is in the insurance policy.  It says must be smoke free 60-90 days prior to surgery and that you will be tested before surgery also.

I have been waiting on you to get on here all afternoon!

Thanks!
