Thanksgiving aftermath.....
Ok...so after how many hours of cooking and prepping a meal that was devoured in what...30 minutes or less....I can honestly say I am thankful that it is over. I was sooo worried about over indulging. needless to say I did pretty good. I kept it to one plate..not full either. i did not eat any deserts either. I only gained .2 lbs even! i drank my water all day and even snuck in a nap. "I was putting Braedyn asleep!" They bought it! I was thrilled that both my sisters noticed my weight loss...my mother did not say a word. Shocked me because everything she usually says is negative. It kind of hurt too. She has always been on my back about my weight and when I am finally doing something with it she does not even acknowledge it! I had not seen my older sister since Mother's day and she was full of compliments and mostly kept telling how proud she was. She and I have not always seen things eye to eye...but that is slowly changing. She is 52. See Viski...you are younger than my older sister and both my brothers! Lol....
All in all it was a nice day. Beautiful weather..a bit cooler up there than here. Sunny too! Hope everyone had a good one. I am sure most of you are out shopping this am! ARE YOU NUTS!!!!!! Lol...enjoy for me! I told Aubrey I will take her next year so she can experience it. We are going to try to get Braedyn's gifts next week. I have him about done, but she needs to do some as well. He is with his dad and family today and will not be home until Sunday. Its hard to have him gone one night...now its three days! I am going to try to get the tree up though so I won't have to try to do it with him here. Too complicated! Sarah stayed at my sisters for the rest of the weekend so I have to go back up and get her Sunday. I may go early so I can attend church with them as well. I hear it is an awesome church. She and Lynn are out shopping today as well. She has birthday money to blow!~ Have a great day guys!

Glad your day went well. I was a little worried that I would feel deprived yesterday and when that happens I can get a litte irritable...
So sad to hear that your Mom didn't say anything about your weight loss. No matter what age we are... we still yearn for our parents praise and approval don't we? I feel for ya. My Mom was the same way with me when I was growing up. Our relationship improved when I was an adult.... She passed in 2001, I would give anything to have her back now.
Sounds like you did a great job with your food choices too.
Way to go LeeAnn!! I stuck with turkey and overnight salad. I did have one teeeeny weeeeeny bite of stuffing... and it didn't even taste good to me. No desserts for me either.
I went shopping on Black Friday ONCE.
That was enough for me. Never again... no way!

Well glad someone is older than me I guess. The morons still have said or done nothing( you know who I am talking about LeeAnn) but dont feel well anyway so its 6:13 going to take a hot bath and off to bed maybe I will feel better tomorrow.
I did get a wonderful gift from my mom, I have my kitchen done in roosters so she got me this big kitchen clock with roosters, a set of rooster statues to put above my stove area and rooster covers for my chairs.

LeeAnn I am glad you had a great holiday. I missed my shopping this am- hopefully I will be able to go again next year. Sounds like you had fun. You did a great job with your eating...I did well yesterday, but today...not so much...urg.
As many of you know my DH had his 5th surgery this past Monday, so Thanksgiving was the last thing I was worried about. Luckily we have really great neighbors we met 3 days after we moved to KY whose granddaughter is like a sister to our son, and they invited us down. I enjoyed myself as did my family and my hubby did not have too much travel (ha ha ha) with his huge wound in his abdomen. It was very nice.

I'm like Vicki. I have either a head cold or sinus infection that started Monday. Went to the dr. Tuesday and she just said it's the same thing I get every year about this time. But the good news is that even though I went to my son's in-laws house for supper, I ate so little yesterday that I actually lost weight!!!! I was mad because I was sick for the holiday but now it doesn't seem so bad since this is the first time since I was born that I didn't gain weight on Thanksgiving.
I didn't go shopping today although hubby did. He said that people were grabbing stuff out of other people's hands. I asked him to get paper towels and bottled water and, unless he's hiding something, he came home with absolutely nothing. My daughter-in-law bought a bunch of stuff this morning but she got to Wal-Mart at 4:30 am.
