Well, I had my filter put in today. Arrived at 6:30 and was home at 4:00. Not really having any pain from it. The worst part of it all was getting the TWO IV's. My veins are not good at all when it comes to getting an IV started. So it took three nurses, seven tries and finally I had 2 IV's. And the worst part is that I have to go back Tuesday and get another IV for my gallbladder surgery. My arms look like I have been beat---LOL!!! Things are good, I am still trying to get a letter from the local doctor....seems like it will be a fight to get a letter from him. I WILL AGGRIVATE HIM TO DEATH UNTIL HE WRITES ME ONE SO I WILL LEAVE HIM ALONE!!!

Since your hard to stick, I would ask them to have the anesthesiologist to do it rather than the nurse, usually the anesthesiologist are better at hitting hard to hit veins,   I am one like you my veins roll so they either get a anesthesia's nurse or anesthesiologist to do it

Hi Connie,

I hate IV's too.   But I am glad it is over for you.
Hang in there.  I have a feeling you are going to make a lot of progress in getting the surgery approved.
