Rant: Annoyed w/ the doctors office.

I hate getting the run around. My rant is not w/ my surgeon but with another surgeon's office. This surgeon is top notch in his field. His office staff cannot tell you jack though. I've asked about my insurance at least through 10 different emails......the only response I get is they're working on it. I even got proactive and looked up the CPT code myself and found it was in the system with my insurance, found out all the specifics, even if it needed to be pre-authorized and if I needed a referral from my family doc...
I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say they're just starting out with this particular office...

I was so pumped this morning, thinking FINALLY I know if my insurance covers this... then the email dropped me on my @$$.. lol

I got my lab slip via fax today... time to have some blood drawn.. eww I dread that.

You know, they simply just do not know. They're just getting started and in my original post I was a tad frustrated...
I'm sure they're doing the best they can do, given the situation.

It will probably never happen.
I gave up on it a month+ ago.

U never know, it could happen. I gave up when I thought I'd have to fork over $250 for the consult fee but it worked out. I think they're still getting everything set up...I know it's frustrating.  Did u hear from that lady (I forgot her name) that got denied?  Did she appeal or find out why she was denied?

I'm glad you reminded me. I am going to email her now and see how she is doing.

Tell her I said hey and good luck.  When I gave up on it for a while I lost track but I'm ready to go down and get things started.  Let me know when u hear something from the doc's office or u're insurance co.  Did u know Lori is here in Ky for the week?  For awhile maybe, not sure how long but she's down in Somerset.

The lady that coordinates the insurance told me via email that they would contact me at the beginning of next year... I'm trying to keep my head up but I just don't know..
Lori called me today but I was asleep and she left a voicemail.. said she was in KY.

I saw that post.. have no idea what that's about.. Odd. I see that she is a patient of Dr. Husteds though.
