Started Pre-Op diet today; Here is what i ate!
Hello Everyone! Yesterday I had my appointment at St Joes to see the Internist, dietician, and the exercise physiologist. They gave us a Pre-op diet that needs to be followed until the day of surgery. So below is what I had to eat today.
B: 1 scrambled egg, 2 peices of turkey sausage, 1 cup of decaf w/ my 6oz of protein powder in it.
L: 3 cups of raw spinach salad, 2 thin slices of roast beef, 4 baby carrots w/FF ranch dressing.
S: some pork rhynes
D: 2 turkey hot dogs with beanless chili w/ a small serving of pork rynes.
Through out the day I consumed 60 ounces of water. I am working hard on the water. I love the little flavor packets that you can add to them, helps out alot! The diet that I am on is low carbs. I can only consume 30 grams of carbs a day. Was not that bad for starters. I went on a 30 minute walk on my lunch break before I ate. So I am just moving along.
I go back to St Joes on Monday for a Lab work up, EKG, and EDG...I have to be sedated for that one. Then on Wednesday I go back up there for the Nutrition Seminar. So things are coming along quit well so far. They will be submitting to my insurance company next week. So hopefully I will hear some good news and have my date soon! I will keep you all posted!
