Protein shakes before surgery

Friday is my surgery, and I know I have to start clear liquids tomorrow.  During the class, I could have sworn that the dietician said that we could have protein shakes.  Does anyone know if this is true?  If not, what about the protein water or unjury chicken noodle protein powder?

Clear liquids for me, was NOT protein shakes... BUt my surgeon was Dr. Allen...
Just your clear broths, apple juice,gatorade,SF popsicles..

I have no idea but maybe you could try this:

Did you go to the pre-op training downtown?  If so, try emailing the dietitian tonight and I bet they'll answer your question sometime in the morning hours tomorrow.

Sorry but I don't know the other Dietitian's last name or I could give you her addy too.  Her first name is Casey though....maybe try the Norton's website?

I went to Suburban for the class.  Today I tried calling Jennifer...answering machine...she called back, my answering maching.....I called her, answering machine...she called again, answering machine.......it was funny, playing phone tag and all.  

I will try to call her again tomorrow after my filter procedure....
