What is the weightloss expectancy a month with the lapband

My surgery was on 8-29-08 and I just wonder what I should expect as far as weightloss per month. I have had 2 fills for a total of 3-1/2 cc's. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I have 5 lbs to get under that 200 mark and its killing me not being there yet. Any recommendations on how to get under that weight?

Thanks
Rhonda

they say roughly 2 lbs a week.  When you hit a plateu you must change your workout routine and increase your water to jump start your system again.

Rhonda coming from a 15 month post op Lapband patient the averages vary in everyone.  The statistics say 1-2 lbs a week with good restrictions, however it may take 2, 3, 4, or more fills to personally get to your per say sweet spot where you feel satisfied quicker and stay satisfied for 4 or more hours of not feeling hungry.   Some people never have a fill and lose easy, some have gotten close to the max fills and just feeling restriction.

Recommendations:  just keep the food in moderation I use the fist rule and my dr laughs but says it exactly the right perfortion.   Protein first, veggies and then carbs which if you have good restriciton may not even need a carb the proteins should satisfy.  Are eating habits are unlike RNY, VSG and DS.

Make sure your getting the right amount of protein, drinking the water and following the band rules your surgeon has set forth for their patients.

Good Luck

Hi Rhonda,  Welcome to the board...
A trick that I got from the band guide that gets so much crap started on the lapband board is this...
If I THINK im hungry, I drink a 8 oz glass of water, then I re-evaluate.. that also keeps me a lil bit fuller so I dont eat as much.. I have a lil bit of restriction but not as much as I did at first.. So maybe try that and see if it helps u out..
Like Vicki said it takes some people 6 fills to get where they need to be...
Good luck!!!
