Regardless of who you like (or don't like) on the national, state and local levels just remember.....if you don't vote you don't get to B*tch about things later!!

I went this morning around 11:30.  The polling place I'm assigned to is a very small place with only 2 booths (It's in a old one room schoolhouse).  I was prepared for a long wait but when we pulled into the parking lot there was only 2 cars there (the other 4 belonged to the workers).  I even saw my OB/GYN walking out as I walked in (she lives down the street from me).  I had only one person ahead of me for the booth.  

Now, is that lucky or what??? 

The lady asked if I wanted to use the "new" machine (it was FANCEE!!) and Gracie and I proceeded to lock it up!!  So much for new and improved, eh? I think they were giving me the evil eye as I left since one of the people was on the phone trying to get someone to come fix it!!  

Anyway, we used the old one and Gracie got to push the big green button for me when I was done with my selections so she thinks she got to vote too!!

I then proceeded to go to Starbucks and get my FREE tall coffee for having voted today!!

I did at 630 this morning had to go to 2 place we reregistered at the license branch 4 yrs ago and they didnt take care of it so we have to go to our old poll ..but we voted.
Crap we dont have a starbucks or a ben and jerrys...
oh well at least now i have a right to complain

I did! I did! Now if the guy I voted for does not win I get to have another reason to Bit@h! imagine me needing one of those huh?!  Lol....I want a starbucks or a ben and jerry's....damn I live in hickville

I am glad you posted. I thank every one of you who did vote! 
It teaches our children what a land we live in that we get to vote. I took Hunter too.  He even had his own booth to vote and one item we did not. They tally them and they will put them in our paper.
We had 700+ of our 1100 registered voters having voted by 1 pm when I did. I knew there would be long line at 630am so I waited til I got off work, and the pollsters said the line was out the door at 630 am.
I only had one glitch- though I had registered they had to put me on the supplemental voters rolls AFTER they called to verify that I was able to vote. It only took 3 minutes and they were very nice about it. I did worry for one flash of a second that I would not get to vote.
na ne na ne haw haw...I get to b#$ch if I choose...I voted.

Too bad I didn't go to Louisville today.....of course I'd have given it to Gracie....

  I voted!  Now I can stop throwing away half my mail.  I can stop hanging up on the robocalls.  I'm glad the election process is over- now the real work begins for those who have been elected.
