Help me please
I had gastric bypass February 25th. I am down 120 pounds great right I have 80 to go. The last 8 months have been great I am off all my meds the only problem I have had was I started smoking again for about a month. Bad, I know so I quit again a week ago but know I am eating all the time and I have noticed things I couldn't eat before don't bother me. I can also seem to eat more without feeling sick. I have never had dumping at all, never been sick. I can eat "bad" stuff and it doesn't bother me. Until know I have just known I can't eat that stuff. I have no regualar excersise plan, I am much more active ride horses regularly. Now I am afraid the weight loss has stoped or I am gaining. I know smoking is terible for me and I feel beter not smoking but I have started to tell myself the quiting is getting in the way of my weight loss. What do I do, I have worked to hard to get here to throw it away.
As you know Dr.Shina does not advise smoking at all.. Have you seen him lately? Mybe its time for a face to face with him and Holly? Talking with Holly really motivates me do maybe you could try that.. Im a band patient but I do know smoking isnt going to help the stall. Your body could just be playing catch up..

I think we are at the stage where we really have to use those other coping skills so we don't eat for reasons other than true hunger.
Just stick to the basics and start moving. Walking, dancing, any exercise that you enjoy.
You have done GREAT so don't start selling yourself short now. You can do this!!!!! Just think about how much better you feel now as opposed to before surgery. You don't want to go back to that.
Hang in there !
