Lol...Well today is when I had my first surgery for my lap band....seems like so long ago.  I am so glad I did it though. It has been a bumpy road and even though I did not get any actual benefits from the band until the revision in June, I still felt the need to acknowledge today since it was the first day of my experience with the band. I have done pretty good though ...I think anyway. I am 58 pounds less than I was last year! I am alot happier and have alot more energy than i ever have. I walked a 3 mile walk which I honestly did not think I could do...but I knew I had my support system with me (part of them) and they would be my motivation to finish...AND I DID! I know I never would have done it without them. I have to say that when I walked into that first support group meeting back in April.....I was ready to give up. I was so discouraged and depressed that I was not losing like I thought I should be and that my Dr was not listening to me. That meeting gave me the motivation to get proactive with my band and push my Dr to investigate my band problems. that was when we did the revision and discovered my port was flipped and the tubing kinked so that is why i was not getting the results I should have been for the past 8 months. So the revision was done and now I am on my way. I have met my first 50 lb mark and am on my way to my second goal of weighing below 300! I am amazed whenever I put on something in a smaller size and it fits. I get satisfaction of being able to get down on my floor and play with my grandson. I get a feeling of family and friendship when I get together with my support group who have since then become my friends. I really do not know where I would be without you guys. You are my rock! Thank you for encouraging me and supporting me through this roller coaster of a ride! I really do love you all.

we could do what Bobbi did for her friend for a bachlorette party, rented one of those suites by the river its like a 2 bedroom suite with kitchen and everything and they had a pajama party.  They did their drinking no driving and I even went and watched them act like a bunch of fools but it was fun
