Whenever we fall it hurts.  I am so sorry about your losing your job.  However on the bright side, they at least gave you a little notice and a severance package.  No it's not what you expected but it is something you can work with. 

Though you are not looking for advice I would like to put my 2 cents in.  When the economy gets tight people don't usually spend money on pictures so be careful how much you invest in this avenue.  I know you will be a success at whatever you do.  As always, take care.   Z

OK, it sucks about losing the job but with the notice and severance you have time to make the best of it!!  School is an awesome option to consider.  Maybe something you can do P/T or make your own hours.....would medical transcription be in that category?

If you are interested Richard does mucho business with Stockyards Bank (he does most of their cabling and camera jobs) and he can ask around for any hiring info.  I'll also ask him about any of his clients in the Radcliffe/E-Town area.

I'm glad you had fun this weekend with your family and got your mind off the other junnk for a while.  We missed you today but we'll all get to hang out together in a couple of weeks at the Downtown meeting.

Oh yeah,  We are throwing around January 17th as a good date for a bonfire/chili cookoff kinda party here at Talleyland.  Hopefully, it will be a good date for everyone!  We had so much fun with everyone a couple of weeks ago we're planning another one just for our OH peeps!! 

Dawn, so sorry to hear about your job with the bank ending in December.  What a lousy thing to happen at that time of year!  When you've worked at the same place for so long and you've been happy there, it really is tough to let it go.  Hopefully, there will eventually be a silver lining to this bad news, even though at the moment it's the pits!!!
As for falling off the wagon, I feel that I have not only fallen off but been run over.  However, today  I have re-committed myself to stepping away from the junk that has recently been going down much too easily these days and dusting myself off and starting over again.  We can do it, and as always, we get by a little easier, with a little help from our friends.  Good to hear you got to have some good family time this week-end- it does help to keep things in perspective.  (((hugs)))

   Tracy,  we are neighbors!! you and your friend shoul;d come hang out on nov11th with us,,,, Its suppose to be the plastic surgeon too, so it will be double goodness!!!

   Jeanie, thanks for the support.. Friday it was a shock!! I did good though, I smiled at her and Told her it was a blessing and thanks you!! I started with them when they were a small bank and as it has gotten bigger it's gotten nastier!!! I'd love to get on with the school board here!!! But im gonna ride it out and see where the road leads!! This job gave me Katelyn with it's infertility coverage and It gave me my Band-aide with it's weight loss surgery.. so I cant complain....
  As Vicki said when one door closes..... we shall see what opens up!!!!!

Crap Dawn,
I'm so sorry to hear about this!!! Did they give you a reason? I mean 13 years is a LONG time to be with a company and Dec.26th?? WTF??? Tell them you'll be at the after xmas sales... Thats really crappy timing especially with the holidays coming!
Getting in with the school system would be great!!! I sometimes toy with the notion of going back to school, but then feel like I'm too old to do so.. I've always wanted to do nursing or teaching.

Sounds good Dawn, I would definitely be interested in hearing about plastic surgery. Thats something Im for sure having later down the road. Which location is it? I have no idea when/where these meeting are.

Dear Dawn,
    I just wanted to send you a quick note, just to let you know that I have been right where you are. For so long food was in charge of my life. The food was the one constant in my life. When ever I was upset,sad,happy,scaired,etc,,well when ever any of this would happen the food found its way to my mouth.It always seemed like I found compfort in food.
  You just need to have faith that the insurance thing will take care of itself.

Aw. Dawn. Poor baby. I haven't talked to you in so long. I am sorry to hear about your job. However, like the others have said this will give you time to put things in perspective and do something Dawn wants to do. I was in the same boat a few years ago. It made me look at my life and see what I wanted out of it. I went back to school and now am doing something I enjoy. I hope it all works out for you.

P.S. I will be at support group this month if it kills me. I miss you guys.

Also, I would love to come to Becca's gatherings. It is right around my birthday and we can all celebrate.
