MRI results
I have a pinched nerve at the L4 L5 and a bulgin disc at the L5 and S1 and they don't want to do anything as far as surgery right now cause I am still a risk with my weight right now so I have to suck it up and limp around in pain I guess.
On a good note my A1C was normal so I can continue to stay off my diabetes medication. All other blood work was normal EXCEPT cholesterol and trigylcerides so he is changing that medication grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

What's your opinion of Chiropractors?
Might be worth a try.
Wanna hear something odd.....those are the EXACT same discs that I had involved when I had my spinal surgery 15 years ago. He removed one disc and chisled a little bone out to make a bigger pocket for the other disc that was involved.

Just another Bariatric Babe!! I am thinking about contacting a contact I had when I was working at Anthem she is a accupuncturist and I am going to see if insurance will allow it. I worked for a Chiropractor and I don't have a lot of faith in them after working his gamet I am sure not all are like him but just would like to try alternative methods.
Do you still have pain since your spinal surgery?
I have chronic nerve damage to the lower portion of my calf and toes on my right side.....I'm so used to it now though I just don't notice the numbness anymore. This is because my sciatic was pinched too long and the nerves died. Some of it came back in that 18 month regeneration window but not all of it.
I haven't had a lot of pain but when I do it's a result of being overly active (more than my norm). Take this weekend for instance; Saturday I was aching in the lower back and top of my tush area by the end of the night. I had to take two darvocet when I went to bed BUT I don't even remember the last time I took a darvocet so it has to have been a couple of months at least. Sunday morning though I woke up and all was fine!
I do think the daily Diclofenac I take for the knee also helps any back pain I might be having. On a daily basis though the knee complains much more than the back.
I'm somewhat cautious with chiropractors myself. I don't believe that they can cure everything from gallstones to fertility as some of them claim. I had one chiro though that I did love and he worked with the Guarnachelli Group. I lost track of him though when I changed insurance years ago and he was no longer in network.
I will tell you though that a good adjustment is simply ******ic.....

yeah that they found the culprit...boo you are going through the other crap! I am telling ya...my PT gal did wonders with mine and I have similar probs...just diff areas! (Plus 2 herniated ones) She works on core strengthening and it has really changed how I feel. Completely free of pain...never...but my back muscles are stronger and that helps take some pressure off the spine. Wish you could make the trip up here to see her!

I'm really sorry that there is no quick fix to your aches and pains, I feel for you. My Mom has been dealing with back issues for years now, and she's had surgery and still has no relief.. I keep after her to get back to her Dr.. I really wish she would!
