Dr. Wheeler--KDMC

REALIZE Band on 02/11/11

I have to have my gallbladder out.....I was wondering if he does it as a seperate surgery or when he does the WLS. If it is a seperate surgery, how long do I have to wait to have the WLS?

He took mine out one week prior to WLS. I was in and out in a few hours. It was a piece of cake.

sorry, can't help you there.  I didn't have mine removed but I am thinking they do it before the WLS.

Yep. I think they will remove it before the WLS.
Seems like one of the ladies in the pre-op class had hers taken out.
