has anyone heard about this before

has anyone heard of a band being to tight even before you get a fill because i am having trouble with eating and they said that my band could be to tight so if it is what will the md do about it.

If I am not mistaken I think Dr. Allen does prep his bands when placed but I would ask.  I know Dr. Rodriquez told my husband that he had to tugg to get mine around my stomach and its the largest band made but I didn't have any restriction.   If it keeps up call Dr. Allens office back and see what they say

How long ago were you banded?  If it was recently I guess it's possible you have residual swelling from the surgery and not neccesarily the band and things will get better soon. 

What size and brand band did you get?  From what I've been told, if you have a Realize band they are not primed so there wouldn't be any to remove at this point.

Exactly how much trouble are you having with eating?  Is it everything or just some things?  Are you on solids yet?  Are you chewing completely and taking small enough bites?

I'm not sure it's something that you could wait out (only Dr. Allen can make that determination) BUT as you lose weight your fat pad around your stomach will shrink and the band should in theory get looser.

I hope everything works out for you.  Do you have an appointment with Dr. Allen about this yet?
