To all my OH friends and family.  I want to extend this invitation to all as our somewhat regular monthly gathering (outside of support group that is).  Those of you that I know and love are obviously invited but those I have yet to meet are eagerly invited as well!!  I'd love to meet a few new faces!!  Please let me know ASAP if you are planning on coming and if so, what wonderful goodies you might be planning to make so I can make sure we have all our bases covered...LOL....my fear is we'll have 20 versions of potato salad and 20 chocolate cakes and that it!!  

Geographically we are about 20 miles north of downtown Louisville (and right off an interstate) so we are easy to find!  I left out the actual directions below since I'm not sure I want to put where I live on an open board but please do PM me for the directions!

There will be fishing, hayrides, horseshoes, ********* bonfire after dark, an inflatable bounce for the kids, karaoke with DJ and whatever else we can come up with - not to mention the tater tossing (words can’t describe it - ya gotta see it to believe it)!!!!!

 

If you have any old wrinkled taters you’re getting ready to throw out DON’T DO IT!!  Bring ‘em with you….they WILL get used!

 

We will be grilling hamburgers, hot dogs, BBQ chicken and teriyaki chicken.  Please bring a side-dish or dessert and a two-liter of your favorite drink to share.

 

BYOB if ya want but please remember this is a family party so not too much craziness!

we have a football game at 6 pm - is it too late to come around 8?

It's never too late!  By then we'll be mellowing ou****ching the bonfire, roasting marshmallows for the kids and doing hayrides.  The bulk of the crowd is gone by then and it's just more calm and relaxed......great way to end the day!

great!  We will plan on coming by after the game at the OCYFL football field.  I was telling my husband that yours was building a dragster and he is ready to peek inside his workshop.  That's really what we're looking for in a new house, room to build his workshop (and my new studio).    We look at another one Monday night, maybe it will be the right one?  Should I plan on feeding the kids on the way over there or will there be plenty of leftovers?  I can bring some dessert since we're coming so late, something low carb - like a torte

Hey Becca. As far as I know, my girls and I are planning on attending.  We will have to make it a fairly early evening tho, since it is such a long drive for us.  We have a wedding in Salem, IN at 3 pm, so we should be there between 5 and 6.  I am planning on being at the support group meeting on Tuesday with the girls, so we can exchange address info there and then!  As far as something to bring, I will be bringing drinks, since food wouldn't keep well on such a long drive.  Talk to you soon, and see you Tuesday!
