Support group in Owensboro

That is great news to have this much interest in a local support group. I'm pretty sure we could use our church as a meeting place. I'll contact George, the psychologist at Nortons to see if he has any tips for getting started. Please email me at [email protected] and I'll keep everyone up to date about what I find out.

Triciaann I would be interested as I live in Providence.  I don't know of any other group meeting close to me.  I know another person that lives in Madisonville who would probably like it too.  I will e-mail you also.

This group at the health park may be just what we are looking for. Let's give it a try, the next meeting is at the Health Park on Ford ave, Oct 30 in the chapel. Unfortuately Z this is a Thursday night. Maybe we can all meet some Sat at Panera Bread for a little lunch support group. Thanks for the info Lori!

Yes, we have (re)started our support group in Owensboro and we welcome all WLS patients to come join us!!!  Last month we shared ideas of what we would like to talked about but the more people that we can get together the better - we all have issues that we deal with and maybe we can help each other just a little bit get through these issues. 

We meet the 4th Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel at OMHS Health Park, 1006 Ford Avenue.  We have a few exceptions to our schedule in November we will meet on Wednesday, November 19th at 6:30 p.m. and we will decide when we will meet in December and where, it will probably be some where for a meal.  For more information about our group you may go to www.johnhustedmd.com
