Who went, was it nice?  How did everyone look?

I have been feeling a little yucky this week.  I am wondering if it's my gallbladder.  I have an appt with a surgeon at St. Elizabeth for next week, let's get that baby taken care of!

If you are having issues with your gallblader, you should just go to Dr. Sonnanstine.  I developed stones 3 months after my sugery and he just went right back in and took out the gallbladder.  I wouldn't have trusted anyone else.  I think he is so used to having people come back with gallbladder problems that it has become an additional surgery for him.  Good luck with everything.  You will feel so much better once things are resolved.

Dr. Sonnanstine is a surgeon and specializes in bariatrics.  4 months after my lapband I started having abdominal pain.  I was sent to the ER at Good Sam Hospital who sent me to the Gyn for an Ovarian cyst.  No cyst so they sent me to the gastro doc.  Who said not sure what it is but we can do a colonoscopy.  The years before I had a colonoscopy followed 2 weeks later swallowing a camera ...so I was in no hurry for the Go-Lightly colon cleanse to do another colonoscopy.  I stopped in with Dr. Sonnanstine who said I think its your gallbladder.  I did a test can't remember what one but yup it was the gallbladder.  To hurry the story along.  I suffered a massive stroke when having lap band surgery.  My neurologist and hemotoligst gave orders and Dr. Tom told my husband not to worry he would be with me the entire time.  i woke up in recovery with him sitting at the foot of my bed.  I have informed my family that if I need a hospital in the future they are to take me to S.t LUke West and if any surgery is required it will only be Dr. Tom.  He is a fabulous surgeon and a wonderful human being.  You can't go wrong with him in your corner.  I can walk, talk and type because of his response to my stroke and quick action.  God Bless that man...we are lucky to have him.

Absolutely not!  It has been proven that people who lose a large amount of weight quckly are more prone to having gallbaldder problems.  That isn't to say that everyone has gallbladder issues.  I have had nothing but success with Dr. Sonnanstine and would trust him with any member of my family.  Why would I go to another surgeon when he is the one who knows best what is going on inside by having done a recent abdominal surgery on me?  Logically, he would be the most qualified.  Have you had an unpleasant experience?  If so, I'm sorry to hear that.

Well now kIt, I see someone got off to a bad start this week..:-)
I know that often times we get stressed, aggravated and often times down on ourself..but have a hard time with which direction that frustration should be aimed.
I will not pull this post, however, I ask that you delete any part of Dr. Tom you have typed.
Also, I ask if you will contact me personally...I am sending my phone number to you.  call me, talk to me and if we need to I will contact Dr. Tom.  you and he can discuss this or if you like I will also be present.
Pleaes understand what you typed here can be misinterpreted.  Dr. Sonnanstine works very hard for his patients and is compassionate and understanding.  But a post like this will upset him deeply.  That is just not a fair way to handle things.
Please contact me.
