can someone tell me?

I read on the main message board--Dr. Sonnanstine is leaving St. Luke!!!!
His replacement has already been hired.  Has anyone else heard this?

BRENDA, CHRIS..anyone who is in the know.  Please tell me what is happening now?

Hey, sorry I have been MIA..I got a call earlier on my cell phone while at work, someone with panic in her voice that the rumour mill is just as you stated.  so let me clarify.

I had contact with Dr. Sonnanstine today as he was teaching in Louisville..he and I threw a couple of fun text so it was obvious things were fine with him there.  I know they have hired a new surgeon at the Center..and I am ashamed to say I forgot her name..ack!!
She and Dr. Sonnanstine are Partners..she is not replacing him.  I have been in the know as to Dr. Sonnanstine's professional moves and know that he is, at this time, NOT leaving St. Luke..he recently signed a contract.  .Dr. Sonnanstine is very much in demand within the industry and has had frequent offers.  BUT...He is very loyal to you, his patients and staff...
Someone told Dr. Sonnanstine and myself one night at dinner..that when you hit the 1,000 pt mark caos often happens..I call it growing pains.  I am sure all of his patients know how crowded his office has become.  I was there yesterday with my husband..I saw staff I have never seen before going in and out. It's bursting at the seams.  They need this new office and need it NOW..It's amazing to me how much it's grown.  I met Dr. Sonnanstine, he began training me a month after he performed his first surgery.  WOW...how things have changed.  how he has changed and matured as a surgeon, teacher...I can tell you I am extremely proud to be part of watching his growing pains.  Relax and take it easy.  If you have heard something I dont know..let me know.  I have NOOOOO problems approaching him...we can stomp out those rumors!!

Brenda: It's Dr. July.  I only remember her name since my birtday is in July.  Dr. Sonnanstine will be introducing her at the October support group meeting.  I learned this at last months support meeting.  So, rumor mill go to support you might learn something.  If this sounds catty its only because I am listening to the VP debate and I am tired of Palin.

No matter who comes and goes there is only 1 Dr.Sonnastine.
I dont know what id do if when i went there i didnt see his wonderful smile and them great huggs..

I think someone saw a new doc and panicked...but Dr. Sonnanstine has told me from the beginning there will be another surgeon coming in..perhaps they had to hit a certain # or something.  I don't know I never really asked.  But the point is he is overwhelmed and can't do it all by himself.   I agree about the hugs.  though I rarely get to see him anymore since I don't spend as much time at the center.  I try to get a hug when I can...like yesterday in my hubby's appt.  I said..get over here and give me a hug..he just smiles real big..he is so darn cute!!!
I still attend his video night class.  Any new pt's sign on and want to know more just give me a yell.

Brenda correct me if I'm wrong. They brought in another Dr. because of the expansion going on at the back of the hospital.  The Bariatic Center is going to be much larger Dr. July is going to be robin to Dr Tom's Superman an I agree with you both If you saw the last 2 Batman movies you know he is HOT.

The thought of bringing in a new doc was much earlier than the plans for the explansion..as I mentioned earlier a new partner was always in the plan.  Watch the hot part..we dont' want to give Dr. Sonnanstine a big head..lol...I try not to tell him to often he is cute, but sometimes I can't help it..lol...but it's usually because of something he did or said..he had me laughing yesterday and I couldn't help myself.  He is a very good man, what you see at the office is very much the real person...he has a heart, and he is very sensitive, I have seen him very upset over his patients struggling.  He is very busy which is difficult for any surgeon with a young family.  His two sons are very attached to him and want him there for everything.  You can only imagine how good he is with them.

Brenda' That last responce was a stroke moment.  It was only later that I read it for what I had really written.  What I ment to say was I have never been a superman fan more Batman since the last 2 movies with Christian Bale, now he is HOT.  So I was placing Dr. Tom with Batman and not superman although he is a super man.  Alo, please say  a prayer I interivewed for a job at Dearborn County Hospital and really want the job.  I applied at St. Luke for a registrar and clerk position but never heard anything.

I agree about the so darn cute part.
I know he is one busy man and im glad he now has help.
No matter how tired he was he still  has the best bedside manner i have ever seen,my friends and family were even amazed by him..
I hate going to the doctor but i look forward to his visits.....
Hope to get to come tomorrow...
