Sorry, I couldn't help myself!!

Was this an honest question or a poke???

If it was a real question then my answer would be that I pretty much eat what I list each day on the accountability post.  Today's report for me was spot on other than I forgot to drink all my water and it's too late to drink now or I'll be up all night!

It was an honest question. some of the things that I notice that people eat I've never heard of. I wouldn't begin to know where to find them. I guess I'm just to country.HAHA I'm more into plan foods than gourmet.

I thought it was a great question...it comes up at the meeting at times as well. Alot of people wonder about it too. I like gourmet...but I cannot afford alot of it so I am trying to be a bit more creative at home. I love Food Network and sometimes they have stuff on there that makes my mouth water! I get on their website and try to find recipes that I can modify a bit to more of my needs. Especially financially. I have a household of 5 and its tough without Dale's income now! Check them out! My family is pretty flexible thanks goodness! Like I made beef stew and put in the potatoes and carrots but added peas as well. I do not eat the potatoes but can have the rest! I did skip on the buscuits though. I love fried chicken but refuse to make it at home. I do not fry anything! It is a treat for me when I go out to eat...which is not often!  They all had subway last night but I ate soup at home! Did I want a sub...you bet! But I want to lose weight more. Check out the recipes on here too! Lots of goodies!

I really eat what I post, however without restriction yet ,it is a diet of willpower with slip ups. Someday are a nightmare, but I just don't give in to the feeling that I have failed. Someday , I expect to be able to eat a little more, but now I want to get this weight off and I expect it to be easier once my band starts restricting me. Believe it or not, I feel some restriction from my first fill. It may be swelling, irritation,or psychological but I'll take it.

What I post is really what I eat! Good or bad...it goes on the board! It makes me accountable and that is something I need!  If I cheat and have a no no...I post it...it is my cheat and I need to account for it. I also want newbies to see that everyone slips...no one is perfect! Look at my first posts on the accountability thing...I ate bad! But...I am learning now and eating better! If I could just steer clear of McD's...I would be better! I am better about giving them the carmel back that comes with my apple dippers...if it went home with me I would eat it. Self restraint is not my best virtue! If I have a candy craving...I get a piece of candy...will it hurt my band itself? No...will it hurt me? No...but it is empty calories and if it goes in my mouth I account for it.

I post everything I eat.
I used to keep tabs of calories, protein, carbs, and sugars, but I pretty well do that in my head at each meal now.

Now, there is a mental list in my head of things I WANT to eat, but I don't!

I do feel like I eat the same things over and over a lot.  I crave variety but have been afraid to venture out.  The only meat I eat is fish/seafoood so I am not tempted by anything else.  I replace meats with soy and beans!
