OT:Trying to find a internet provider in a rural area! (Sonora Ky)
My mom moved from East View Ky to Sonora Ky on the same freaking road, maybe 30 mins from her other house and she can't get dsl thru her phone co like she had. She had Windstream and still has their phone service but where she moved, just 30 mins down the same road, they don't have dsl. Anyone know any internet co's that are out in rural areas? I know our local cable co comcast isn't even out where she is. She's having internet withdrawals. She keeps making me get on her myspace to check her messages and send messages for her. It's ridiculous lol. Oh well. I don't know alot about internet providers and how many there might be. I just thought I'd get on here and get some ideas.

If she is that far out, she may have to use WildBlue, the sattlite network. You can get it thru Dish Network. It isn't a bad service, as long as the sattlite doesn't go out in bad weather. Good luck.
