Back and ready for gabbing!!!!!

Lol...just kidding! I have had alot of text msgs  from everyone on my cell...unfortunately I have to reserve my battery since between 5 people and one car with a working lighter I was constantly charging someone's phone!  We have our water back on and power!! I finally heard a duke energy truck out front and flagged them down and asked them if we could please be next and that I had 4 kids plus a baby and we were all getting pretty ripe! lol...he laughed and said we were already next on the list so as of 5:00 we have everything! they got the water plant up and going a day ago. Burnt up two pumps but they have been repaired. the pain part was across the street were back up last night and so was everyone surronding us on all sides! Just our side of the street and the street behind us ! It sucked! They had school today but I did not make the girls go. Sarah wanted to so she braved the cold water and went. Istep was suppose to start today but they delayed it until tomorrow since only 7-10 kids were in classes.  I did talk with Lachelle and gave her updates. Becca and Dawn also. Dawn's garage and truck were smashed and boat got some damage as well. Still no power for her. Becka had no power but hopefully a generator on its way.  Hope everyone else is ok and safe!   I know my kids now have a huge appreciation for electricity! 3 teenage girls and no tv or radio is not good!  I went to see my psych today for my annual visit and he put me on some new meds for the depression. It has been horrible for the past month and all this just pushed me to the edge. I function fine and all...just worried about the kids, food, cooking, no money through all this, lost over $400 in food in the deep freezer alone....not to mention eveything in the house. Stores were wiped out or lost all their supplies and food. PB &J and fresh fruit! Works wonders. Lol....I ate my protein bars I had in the cabinet! And tons of water I had bottled up!  But we are safe and healthy and a bit wiser! thanks for all the prayers and calls and msgs! I feel loved!

   Great to see you back on Board!  Lee Ann, I am soooo glad to hear from you and see that you have power AND water.  You, along with others here, have been in my thoughts and prayers.  We just don't realize how good we have it until we don't have it any more.  Hoping to be back in school by Thursday.  It's been good to catch up on housework, but I am ready to return to school.  Hope things get more back to "normal" for you soon!!!  Again, so good to see you back on here- I was about ready to start talking to myself!!!

Ok...just talked (via text msg) to Dawn and Becka. dawn has power now as well!   Becka has no power yet but the trucks were at neighbors (where wires are down) and they said tonight or tomorrow. They leave friday and are worried about sump pump and fridges not up and running! I just got done texting with them...time to take a long hot shower. No candlelight! I am sick of candles for awhile! prayers to everyone in need and thanks to those who gave them to all of us!

Yippie!!!  Thank goodness everyone is finally getting back online!  Its been an all-to-quiet day around here today! LOL

    I have had the worst three days ever... But Everyone is ok and life goes on... Im insured, just going to be  a eye sore for awhile.. Lost lots of dollars in the refrigerators but got to save alot of the meats.. so thats a good thing... I missed you guys!!! I didnt get to post my one year pics but I did get to take a pic of my BEFORE PIC at Dr.Shina's office so I will post it for you all!!  
   I need good stifff drinks that for sure!!!!
Dawn
