Hello dear cyber friends

My heart goes out to those without power and those with wind damage. It has been a rocky ride here in Owensboro too. Our power is finally back on and our house is quiet again after our little adopted family and grand child have moved back home. This precious family has become our family over the last several years when we moved back to O'boro 5 years ago and they moved here to be the minister at our church. We weren't able to have children ourselves so when they moved here and then had a baby we felt we had a chance to experience the beauty of grandchildren. She is our sunshine and we love them all so very much. However they are young and very talented and will probably be moving away during the next year and my heart is breaking. This summer I have managed to taper off Zoloft after taking them for 15 years, but I'm afraid I may need to add a small amount back. I really didn't mean to unload with all of the distress many of you are under with the weather related damages, but I'm really fighting sadness and the urge to gobble up the frigerator. I guess it was a good thing in my situation we had to throw out most of the food due to no power. On a happier note, our road trip to the mountains was beautiful and I managed to hold my weight loss , then lost a pound when we got home. I'm heading out to ride my bike to try to up my seritonin a little lol Love and prayers to you all

Glad to hear you have power again. We were only out for about 6 hours so we were lucky.
Im sorry to hear about your family possibly moving, that has to be hard but just be thankful that you had the time you did and hopefully there can be many visits.
Its great you have gotten away from your medication, from what Ive heard, its a hard thing to do so be proud of yourself for the accomplishment. And get that fridge thought outta your head...if you cant do that then go buy a big ol chain & lock for the fridge door!
Im here if you ever need to just rant or get something off your mind & Im sure there are many others who feel the same....we all need to vent sometimes. I think it makes us feel better to just unload.
Have a wonderful day triciaann!

Hi, Triciaann!  Glad to hear you have power!  Ours was only out for a few hours and we have taken in my dear little 92 year old father-in-law since his power is out.  It sounds like you are really close to your recent houseguests.  People like that are really a blessing and just like family.  Hope you will receive the grace you need should they be moving away.  That's the thing about young ministers and their families- they often don't stay around too long.  But you never know.  They could be with you for quite awhile, so that's a bridge you can cross when you come to it.  In the meanwhile, enjoy their love and fellowship and continue to be a blessing to them.  Hope your bike ride was a treat! (((hugs)))
