Thoughts on which doctor?

I am approved through my insurance, now I am waiting the pre-op visit in Georgetown. Does anyone know Dr. Weiss or Dr. Oldham? And any thoughts on them?

I've heard really great things about Oldham.  Another friend of mine is having lapband in Nashville (she has cardiac issues and her doctor is there) and her doctor even recommended him.

My husbands general surgeon who does lap band as his only bariatric (due to hospital limitations) recommended them too. He said they could handle complicated cases. good luck

 I am post-op RNY 8 weeks.  Dr Weiss was my surgeon so therefore made my pouch.  Both Dr. Weiss and Dr. Oldham are in the OR together.  So no matter which surgeon you designate you get them both. What a relief that is.  Two specialists working on you!!  Dr. Oldham then provided my care in the hospital because it was his weekend on-call.  He saw me once a day but called each evening to check on me.  On discharge day he checked on me twice for any questions etc.  I love the post-op care from their office.  I have called to ask questions and the staff are responsive, kind and caring.  I can recommend them with no reservation.  If you have other questions, let me know.  

edited to add:  I had my surgery at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.  It was a great experience there.  Was able to get into surgery more quickly at CBH.

I don't know, I looked at their picture and they both look very good to me.  LOL, but my Dr. Tom is gorgeous too.  not that looks matter, but it sure does make for a pleasant experience when they visit in the hospital.  lol

Brendagold is good friends with Dr. Weiss, perhaps she can give you information.

I also had Dr. Weiss and highly recommend him and Dr. Oldham. As stated above, they work together on every patient, although one of them will be your primary surgeon. I had my surgery at Georgetown Community Hospital and had an excellent experience. The pre- and post-op care from the surgeons' office is outstanding.
