2 week liquids after lapband surgery questions....
Ok, so I have to do the two weeks of liquids after banding on Monday.. who else has done this???
Is there anything I'm missing besides soups... protein shakes.... I'm having a hard time getting 3 protein shakes in a day too... it's only been 3 days... but still...
This afternoon was the first time I noticed my stomach growling.....
How do you survive this stage?

I drank alot of water...crystal light and basically drowned my hunger pains. Was this the right thing to do?...I don't know but Dr A did tell me that your hunger pains are sometimes a signal for your body to send saying you need more fluids!
As for surviving it...i didn't. i did not do anything I should have. I was on mushies after 3 days and eating tyson chicken strips (precooked and packaged) at 5 days! I chewed the crap out of those babies but I needed solid food. Did it hurt me...I don't think so but looking back on it I think it was very irresponsible of me and wonder if I was just trying to see if I could make the band fail me like all the diets did. I have struggled with this band mentally and physically for months as everyone knows. Was it my fault....quite possibly. I can honestly say I did not give it the respect it deserved and therefore my result to that point were diasappointing up until my revision in June. But after doing my best to watch calories, proteins, and fluids, even with my stumbles along the way....I weighed myself at the girl's Dr office and cried. I have dropped to 330. I pray Dr Allens is the same as it tomorrow morning when I go for a fill.......That would be 16 pounds down since June 1. Cross those fingers!!!!!

are you on clears only (although the protein shake wouldn't be a clear) or FULL liquids?
Clears are the pits once your tummy wakes up again! If that's where you are simply try to drown the hunger pains!
If you are on full liquids you've got a lot more flexibility!
Try:
-decaf coffee
-Iced tea
-hot tea
-popsicles
-milk
-thinned out yogurt
-broth (add seasonings to taste)
-cream soups (pureed or just tomoato since it's smooth)
-For Richard we pureed regular soups like veggie beef and bean and bacon then added more water to thin it out more
-protein shakes
-crystal light
-snow cones or slushies made inthe blender....they'll melt before they get there!
