I am a new surgery prospect!

Good afternoon! I am so excited to be here and be a part of what I see as GREAT support! I had my first appointment yesterday in Georgetown and Lexington. I am so ready for this! I am on pins and needles waiting to here back to see if insurance will pay. Yesterday was a long day but I met 4 more people going through the same thing. That is awesome. I got email address for 2 of the ladies and we are going to keep in touch. This site is fabulous!!!

Hi.  I am also going to have surgery in Georgetown.  Do you know what surgery you are going to have?  Dr. Weiss is going to perform my VSG September 3rd.

Hey! I am going for the lap-band! I have not been approved for insurance to pay just yet though. I got my fingers crossed. Dr. Weiss did the siminar I went to. He seems very together!

I really liked him.  I first cornered him after a support group meeting to ask a few questions.  When I met with him at my second appt. I had a 2 page list of questions.  He was very patient.  When I asked if he felt like he was being interviewed he said, "Yes, but we really like for our patients to be educated.  I'll answer as many questions as you like." 

My husband works as a surgical technologist at Central Baptist.  He scrubbed in on two of Dr. Weiss' VSG surgeries.  My husband was also impressed.
