Wedding dress wow moment
Im getting married in a month & have been putting off dress shopping until I got closer to the date which is Sept 21. Who knew what size I would be so I figured it would be safe to wait.
I had narrowed down my selection to 6 different styles that I saw online at David's Bridal. So I printed them out and I marched into the store figuring I would be bombarded by sales people. I had to build myself up in the truck to even go in based on my past experiences with trying on clothes...we all know how bad it can get when you realize you just squeeze into a size any longer.
I went in and no one came running up as I had thought, they were so busy & crowded like you wouldnt beleive. I decided to walk around & try to find something I liked and try to find the dresses that I picked out online. After about 15 minutes of looking I finally see a dress that looks similar to my #1 pick. I pull it off the rack and realize it is it...my #1. But my smile soon turns to a frown as I discover it is a size that there is no way in hell is gonna fit me. As I am putting it back on the rack, a sales lady comes up & asks if she can help. I tell her what I am looking for & she apologizes and says that is the only size they have in that style but she seems positive that it will fit me....yeah right! She talks me into trying it on. She said because of it having a corset back which has to be laced up that it will actually give me some extra room...ok ok I'll try it on. I already felt defeated because I knew what would happen, no amount of tucking & squeezing & pulling & poking was gonna get me into this dress!
Well guess what? IT FIT!! I was in a size 16 dress and had room to spare with the lacing in the bac****ep in mind that 3 months ago I was wearing a 28. Let me tell you, I strutted out of that dressing room and marched up to that podium and starting crying like a baby!!! This dress...my #1 pick needed no alterations what so ever. It literally fit me like a glove, it was made for me. I told the saleslady I wanted it and I had no need to try on nor look at any others. The total process took about 40 minutes and I had planned on at least 2 hrs because we all know how trying on clothes can be, it may fit here but doesnt fit there etc etc.....
SHEW!
