surgery approval

I got approval for my surgery in less than 24 hrs. from the time bcbs of ma received my paperwork. Now the wait for the date will just kill me. Now what happens?

You do just that...wait! They will contact you and then you will be parked right here on the losers bench with us! Congrats on the quick approval and hopefully a quick date!

Congratulations!!! You will probably receive a call from your Doc's office to come in for a pre-op visit and you'll get a date then. Good Luck!

I am so excited for you..  are you going to go to the support meeting at St E on the 19th?  I will be there.  keep us posted on a date.......

Unfortunately, I won't be there due to my hours at work. I can't wait for a date for getting the lapband. How are you doing? Haven't seen any updates from you for awhile. I know I sound like a broken record but after your approval how long did you wait for your date. I'm so afraid my job will black us out of getting time off, because we are going into the busy season. I called to talk with kathy today, and left a message, I wanted to let her know I would prefer to have the surgery on a Thursday. I was so excited that I got approved and when she asked me how soon I wanted to have the surgery, I didn't think to tell her a Thursday would be better.  Can you tell me what the pre-diet consisted of and how did you do it.

Pam work has started flex time and I may be able to go to the meeting. What time does it start and where is it at?

it starts about 730 at St Elizabeth.  It is in the same room as the informational sessions.  I think it is room L or M  it is on the 6th floor.  Hope to see you there

Rhondah, I have BC/BS but there was some stipulations.  Find out if you have any.  Approval does not always mean that they pay 100%.  I had to meet certain out of pocket expenses.  Not trying to rain on your parade but just wanted you to make sure of costs.  I ended up paying around $1,000.  However it was worth every single penny.  Take care and congratulations.  Looking forward to watching you progress.
