Accountability: Diet & Exercise - Sun., Aug 10th

My spiritual food went down well but having a few problems with the physical food this morning.  I did 20 minutes on the treadmill, 10 on ab lounger, 10 on red chair.

Breakfast - I was running behind so only had 1 cup of te and didn't get to drink it all.  My other liquids will have to be worked in after lunch.

Lunch - grilled cheese and ham on wheat toast, garden salad (I'm having a little trouble with the salad right now)

Dinner - 1/3 wheybolic extreme 60, 1 qt powerade zero, 2 (20 oz) bottles of water  (one with southbeach mix and one with replenish) and 2 cups of organic tea.

Snack - 1/2 cup cottage cheese w/fruit, a few pretzels, mango soyjoy bar, a few thai chips.

My fill level is turning into a FICKLE FICKLE thing! 

It seems like eating earlier in the day is more difficult and I might be developing that "First Bite Syndrome."

Last night the grilled chicken went down fine although I did eat it slowly and then just about an hour ago my fried egg (over easy) didn't want to go down without a fight!  Took me over 30 minutes to get one of the two I fried for myself down!  

I'm going to start having a cup of hot tea right before I eat this week and see if it helps.  If nothing else it will ensure that I get all my fluids in!  

FOOD

B:  My usual coffee latte (6oz coffee, 10oz milk, S/F splenda, 3 Splenda)
L:  1 fried egg and about 1/4 cup southern style hashbrowns w/ ketchup
S:  pure protein bar (Pnut butter and Choc flavor and it wasn't very good)
D:  1/2 filet of tortilla encrusted talapia, 1 corn cobette and maybe a half cup of  brocoli, carrot, cheddar blend.....I then had to so who knows how much I really ate!


FLUIDS

10oz milk
17oz crystal light
8oz hot tea
??

EXERCISE   

I"m thinking of being lazy....might take Gracie swimming later though.

I know what you mean Becka, that's why I try to have most of my liquids in the morning but especially hot tea because it relaxes my band for lunch.  Since I did not have enough my band played havoc with me and my lunch.  I just got finished.  I know better.  I usually drink my liquids in the morning and if  not a hot beverage I drink the others at room temperature so that I can eat without problems.

I really think I've got such a huge learning curve with this last adjustment to my fill level.  Last night grilled chicken with grilled pineapple and vidalias went down fine.  Each meal is a big question mark for me lately!  I don't think I'm too tight though since some meals are fine.  You had a fill recently too right?  How is it?

Becka, my fill is making me cautious.  I have to reduce my portions and chew more.  I can still guzzle water but salad is slow moving, I tend to eat slower.  But otherwise I'm ok.

B- 1 small bowl corn flakes with banana slices and splenda, and 2 oz of milk in the cereal.

L  - hard salami 4 oz wrapped around slices of aged swiss cheese

D- 4 oz of strip steak on the grill, 1/2 baked potatoe and fresh slices of tomatoes

  B. 2 c. decaf at home, with a little 1/2 & 1/2 & honey, ate 1/2 South Beach protein bar on way to church with my Chai tea latte L. 5 chilled shrimp, 1/4 c. edamame (steamed soybeans), 3 small pieces of bacon, fresh tomato slices & piece of ff cheese- ate 1 Laughing Cow wedge on way home from grocery, snack 1 fudgesicle, The Plan for rest of day, D. small salad with grilled chicken strips, tomato, cheese, 1/2 hard boiled egg.  Maybe for final snack of day a 60 cal. jello pudding.  Here comes the 1st week of school and I've got my yogurt , cottage cheese and wls friendly lunches planned for this week.  Hoping Tuesday goes smoothly so I can get to meeting Tuesday evening at 6:00.  Here's wishing all a happy & healthy week ahead!

D: pulled pork w/ carrots and green beans...no appetite...cannot smell or taste!

Today's Menu:

B:   Protein Bar
L:   Tuna and a Banana
S:   3 Crackers and 1/2 stick of dark chocolate (30 cal.)- blood sugar was dropping
D:   3 grilled shrimp, bite of onion and pepper, 1/2 slice of tomatoe, few bites of refried beans, and maybe 4 chips with salsa & guacamole
S:  Plan on trying a new Weigh****chers mint choc. chip ice cream cup

Exercise:   Nothing other than work.   If I get to feeling better, I may go to the track but I doubt it.


To tired to do much else!  Hope everyone has had a great weekend!
