I don't know the answer to that but I wanted to tell you way to go for thinking ahead!  Great question.  The lap band seminar I went to informed me that even if your insurance did pay for fills they might not pay for all of them so you will want to find out what their limit is as well.  Keep asking questions
I owed it to myself to research the duodenal switch before consenting to any other weight loss surgery and so do you.  Check out DSFacts.com and DuodenalSwitch.com for more information.  Remember think twice, cut once, revisions are risky and revision surgeons are rare.

I am almost positive, that I read a sign in my Dr.s office, that if you are on medicaid, you have to pay for your own fills!! that really bites, don't it!!

The answer I received from Dr. Sonnanstine is that he only charges for an office visit not a fill.  If he placed the band.  If you are from another center, or Mexico. etc.  there is a significant charge.  Though I don't think it's as high as most docs I know.

Any question contact me direct.  I will do my best to get an answer for you.  Still not sure if that includes medicaid.  Will ask him that as well.
