Okay I'm new to this site, I am getting ready to have surgery in four days. I'm worried about shrinking my liver....If anyone would be kind enough to answer a few questions....let me know.

You should'nt have a problem if you are following the prescribed to you by your Dr. before surgery. It helps to shrink it. Thats why they put you on a special diet.

my doc didn't have me on a shrinking liver diet before surgery. I think it depends on the doc. She had me eat a regular breakfast the day before surgery, a full liquid lunch, a clear liquid dinner and nothing after midnight.
