Lapbanders from Northern KY?

Hey everybody.  Any lapbanders here from Boone, Kenton, or Campbell county?  Looking for some extra support.

Sorry, I'm from Western Kentucky, Webster County.  Hope you can find some lapbanders close to you.  Don't get discouraged if it takes a while.  You might just have to throw your stuff out there and maybe somebody knows somebody that they can get you connected.

Hi Jan, I had my band placed June 30 at St Elizabeth.  I live in Florence.  I am so happy that I had it.  I have lost almost 30 pounds counting my preop diet.  PM if you wish.   Pam

I've been watching for you to post.  I am using Dr Smith also, just wanted to see how you are feeling. I am currently waiting on a date and the office is suppose to call me tomorrow with and update. Any info you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Rhondah, I feel great!!,  I was a little sore for a few days post op but not really in pain.  I am waiting my first fill.  I had no real hunger until last week, and still not starving.  SO without the fill, I can eat most anything.  I do get full quicker.  Dr. Smith and his office are awesome and the girls in the office are so helpful.  I hope you get the answers  for your date today.  let me know.  and St. E is wonderful.  ( I was a bit hesitant about going there)  I am a nurse and have worked most of my career at St. Luke, but have nothing but good things to say about st. E and the nurses who took care of me.  Good luck and keep me posted.  pam

PamO, talked with Cathy today and my lapband surgery is in the hands of bcbsma, she turned it over to them on the 23rd. So now I am in the hurry up and wait mode. Sure hope it will not be long. I am having the surgery at St Luke since my daughter is a nurse there. Keep in touch and let me know how your doing.

Rhondah, who is your daughter?  I worked at St. Luke for years.  Started there when it was Booth and left about 2 1/2 years ago.  I will keep my fingers crossed for  you.  hope all goes well.   and QUICKLY!!! pam
