I am 5 months out and a week, I have been feeling so tired and drained lately, does anyone have a clue what could be wrong, I drink protein, and I take my opti-source vitamins everyday.
I have not had bloodwork done since my surgery, I don't go to the Dr. until August the 11th, I just feel so pooped, I just want to go to bed.
At 3 months out, I felt like a new person, tons of energy then, I don't even feel like getting in the pool or even walking now, and this has been going on for about 2 weeks now.
does anyone think it could be b-12?  let me know please.!!!!

I am right there with you.  These past two weeks I have been falling asleep during the day and wanting to sleep all weekend.  I also take Optisource.  This must be something common since we are experiencing the same thing.  Please help us lol.  I am trying to get a workout program started but it is going to be really hard feeling as tired as I am.

Hi Nicole, I'm live in Burlington also, and I have a question for you and anyone else that is preparing for surgery. I chose Dr Dwayne Smith as my doctor and I know that all doctors are different, but after you completed all your paperwork, test, etc. how long was it before you got your approval and surgery date?

I'm just a lowly bandster so I know I'm not any help here BUT

My sis who has had RNY 12 months now was dragging low too these last couple of weeks.  She resolved it by getting a B12 shot and upped her vitamins (she had run out of them and didn't take any for a couple of weeks).

I'm kinda wishing they let us bandsters get the B12 shots as I could use a boost myself!

Becka,

There is a new cranberry juice out now called cranergy. It is 35 calories a glass and is loaded with B12. I could not believe how much energy it gives me. Just don't take it after noon or you will be cleaning house at midnight.

LOL.....cleaning my house at anytime of the day is actually a GOOD thing!  Can't say we're dirty by any means but we do seem to like our clutter!

Seriously though, I'm going to give it a try!

I'm with Becca...a bandster. But...I started taking my prenatals, a vitamin b&C complex, and biotin and eating as much veggies as I can since they are in season and feel like I did when I was 18! I have alot more energy than I ever had and love it. Protein is such a huge roll too. Hope you guys get to feeling better!

If your doctor is not doing a check up ever couple months then you need to get your labs
work done through your family doctor.. Also get your blood pressure done as well.. Mine has been so low since I had surgery and that can bring you down..

But get that blood work done! That is important...

I am bad about not taking my vitamns like I should but I am working on that!
