Accountability Diet: Wednesday, July 23rd
Hello everybody. I'm doing fine off pain meds and as you will notice, I got my appetite back. I knew it was too good to last. So here's my intake for today.
Breakfast - 1/2 cup cottage cheese and 1/2 cup mandarin oranges.
Snack - Pure protein bar (meal size)
Lunch - Peel and eat shrimp w/ rice and 1 tsp butter
Snack - 1/3 cup dry roasted peanuts
Dinner - Meatloaf
To top it all off I drank 2 liters of Gatorade. I am calling the ps tomorrow to see if I can change it to a no calorie drink. I forgot today.
That's all folks!!!!

My scale is still broken, waiting till Friday to get a new one, I didn't get to gym today, I'm doing better with aches & pains since fall last week, and I've just been feeling drained. I need to reinergize somehow. (how about more exercise and eating right?)Another 3 hour workshop today (Thursday). Sorry for the whining! Writing this down does help me re-focus for Thursday. Planning to go to Suburban meeting tonight. Happy Thursday!

i see that you have the same surgeon that I am planning on having. I have a question that maybe you will answer for me. I have a list with 4 appointments on it for the 30th. The one with the dietation wants me to write down a food diary list. I don't understand if I am suspose to be on a diet right now and writting this down or if they are asking for just an everyday list of what i usually eat. I have tried to contact the dietation to no avail. I have not been dieting yet. I am waiting on my appointment, then my o'k from my insurance. Hopefully the surgery date will not be long off. Sorrry to trouble you with this but I hope u can help me.

I was just cruising the KY board and saw your question to Jeanie. I hope she doesn't mind but she and I go through the same bariatric offices for services and I just happen to have the email address for the dietician I believe you are referring to. All of the people over at Norton's Bariatric group are hard to get on the phone but they do seem to get back to you quickly if you leave a message and especially so if it's a critical need! I have better luck with email to the various people there!
Give this a try ([email protected]) and I wouldn't be surprised if Jennifer didin't get back with you on an answer TODAY! Also, there is a support group tonight where both dietician's (Jennifer and Casey) are typically there. I could ask them and then get back with you tonight. When I filled out the diet sheet for myself "back then" I wrote down my everyday intake (no special diet) and it was fine. Basically she just want to critique it and show areas where I could make easy improvements (less fat milk, less sugar, etc.)

Thanks for the reply! I will do as you suggest. I am so anxious to get this all going that it is driving me crazy. After the four appointsments on the 30th I am hoping that it won't be long until I get a DATE! I will be getting banded at the Georgetown Community Hospital. I am about to chang my mind and go for the gastric bypass. I have not met with the surgeon yet but whatever he thinks, will of coarse will ,have have the final say.

The information that Becka gave you was correct even though you are seeing a different doctor. They just what your daily eating habit are now. You are not supposed to be on a diet now but I hope you have a history with someone that you have tried other diets for at least 6 months, otherwise you will have to start on a diet. Let me know if you need more information.
