paintsville area

I'm a Post-Op ya'll from Prestonsburg and I would join in on a support group.....Haven't been to one in a Long time!...........Lets Do It!!

I'm in guys.
I am 5 months out and have been looking for a support group because I need one terribly!  I have asked around and no one really knows of anything that is already established.  I have come to the conclusion that there are no organized groups.

I am not originally from this area so I am not as familiar as to what meeting places would be available.......I am good with anything..................lunch, walking, discussion, etc.
My days off are Friday and Saturdays.  I am also free any evenings after 5 pm except for Mondays.   What about Paintsville Lake or Jenny Wiley/Dewey Dam........a brown bag lunch for a little meet and great??????

I'd love to get together with other WLS peeps!  I need the support and socialization!

what does everyone think about getting together on a friday or sat. maybe not this weekend, that doesn't give everyone time to get prepared or decide. if anyone cant come or friday or sat. maybe in the evenings, let us know , we need feedback, and we will try to get together!!!

Fridays, Saturdays and evenings are good here.
Doesn't the Dewey Damn have picnic tables down there ? I haven't been there in a long time.  I know Paintsville Lake has the shelters with picnic tables. Doesn't matter to me.

Im pre op lap band and this would be wonderful for me also ...I will have my surgery hopefully in september so i will be needing support and kdmc is 3 hrs from me i need this closer to home :) OH and dr. Tompkins is my surgeon
