paintsville area

I was wondering if anyone found out anything about getting together in eastern ky. maybe if there isn't a place we could all meet somewhere and just get to know each other. have our own support group . any ideas? or what do you think of this idea?

I think that is an awesome idea. I would love to have a local support group. There have been about 4 people contact me on here asking if we had a local support group. Let me know if you get something started, I would love to be part of it.

you are the only one that has said anything about it to me, I like in Salyersville, I just figured paintsville would be like the halp-way point, or prestonsburg, but no one else has said anything, I don't know much about them areas to set up anything, unles we could get some girls or boys, lol, together and just meet somewhere for lunch one day. and see what goes from there,.

Hi. This is a great idea ! I know we had talked about it earlier but no one has figured anything else out. The rec. center in paintsville has a track. Thats all I know.

I am from the Paintsville area. That sounds like a good idea to have a support group in this area. What doctor are you all going to? I am seeing Dr. Wheeler at KDMC. I am about half way thru my 6 month dietician program.

DR. WHEELER WAS MY DOCTOR, AND i AM OVER 5 MONTHS OUT NOW, I AM SO GLAD I HAD IT DONE!! MAYBE WE CAN SET A DATE FOR EARLY AUGUST FOR US TO GET TOGETHER, THE ONES THAT WANTS TO, MAYBE JUST MEET SOMEWHERE OR HAVE LUNCH, AND THEN GO FROM THERE.

I live bout 10 to 15 mins from pville.
I'm going to see dr smith at KDMC. I go the 28 th for my first visit there !

Sounds like we have/are using KDMC. Dr. Tompkins did my surgery. But yes lets set a date and time to get together.

I know that Leslie B. From Prestonsburg was wanting to start up a support group. Maybe we can all get something started. I don't have a doc appt yet but will be going to KDMC as well. I think I will see Dr. Thompkins. Would love to start some kind of support group. Keep us posted. I'll pass this on to Leslie. She is about six mths out.

everyone my name is tammy i'm from pikeville, i'm just getting started  , have been to my seminar,  with Dr Smith from kdmc i will be doing mine there too. i will be having the lap band
with dr wheeler. let me know what you decide about the support group i would like to go to one.
