Direct Exclusion

Turns out my insurance has a direct exclusion to any kind of surgery for obesity. No matter how many co-morbidities I have (which thankfully is not many at all, despite my weight)

I'm so upset. I'm on my husbands policy and he's checking with HR to see if any of the higher-priced plans he can choose from offer coverage and we could possibly switch during open enrollment 1/1/09.

My insurance at work might cover it, but open enrollment isn't until June 09. I'm going to use that as a last resort

Or pay out of pocket .

I'm devestated.

ohhh im so sorry.. I rushed to get my done before my job decided to get back, because my husbands insurance has direct exclusions about it too!! I figured I can get a pregnancy covered under his ins so go for the weight loss surgery first!!!!
