Tricia Ann/Annie Whatever?

I appologize for the confusion, but tricia ann has popped up again . OH wouldn't recognise me as a member and let me post any longer as triciaann so I re registered with the user name anniehale. Now annie is gone and tricia is back. I hope I don't have some kind of multiple personalities coming out. Since I now have my next appointment with Dr Tanner I finally feel maybe this surgery is really going to happen. I think I have posted a picture of myself , (looks awful)so you can recognise me by my picture rather than whatever name OH decides to use. I think I'll be getting my surgery the 8th or the 15th of Aug. Yay! Cathy did you have your meeting with Tanner yesterday? please give us the details.

I went to my appt friday.. dr tanner explained the types of bands, etc., I will get a call monday/tuesday with a date for surgery...he wanted to know when and i told him ASAP... I hope within the next 2 wks.. july 22nd is my 30th wedding anniversary.. i told my husband this would make a great present..30 yrs ago was a turning point in my life and hopefully this year will be as well... needless to say, i so wanted dr tanner  to give me a definite date friday... but he has someone who schedules them and sets up pre-op tests etc., will post as soon as i hear definiitely...i spent friday nite with my daughter in bardstown., we live 3-4 hrs away from louisville..so i am hoping they do pre-op one day with surgery the next. i want to get my work done at the office so i don't worry about someone covering for me for a few days...When is your next appt scheduled?

My next appointment is July 25. The funny thing was when I was talking to the office this week they almost found an appointment for me on the 11th. So I'm looking at an Aug. surgery date.

The nurse told  me probably 3 weeks from the second appointment will be your surgery date. I only live 2 hours away, but hope ing to get my test done during the surgery time too. Did Dr Tanner put you on any type of diet before surgery?

Not really a diet, but he told me he wanted me  to lose at least 10 lbs or more to reduce fat around the liver before the surgery--but if surgery in 2 wks, i guess it is a diet of sorts... he told me to "just be good" on up until surgery...i have a fondness for Mtn D--...so i drunk my last one friday..went to walmart and stocked up on drink packets for my H20--and some high protein slim fast..

 Hey Ladies,. Congrats on your surgeries.. I wanted to tell you that I would try really hard to loose the ten pounds.. I had a friend that they didnt have do a preop diet and he couldnt get the band on her... She woke up and didnt have a BAND.. she went thru it all for nothing... I felt awful for her.. Her liver was to large.. So try to shrink those livers a lil...
