TO drink or not to drink?

I am really comfused about something I hear that people say a couple glasses of wine or a couple of drinks every now and then after the lap band is ok. Is this true? I do not drink a lot but I do like to have a couple social drinks every once in awhile. As I prepare my self to get this procedure done I just want to make sure I know everything. Is it ok to still have a few drinks every now and then?

YOU can have  a few drinks every now and then it's just most fruity drinks are high in sugar.  Stick to light beer like Mick Ultra.

I like the taste of alcohol so would just add 2 ice cubes to alcoholic beverages.  I like dry wine however I gave up beer along with soda.  This being said I have only had 3 drinks since I had lapband surgery.  The thought of the calories out weighed the desire.  Go figure.  Z

 With  I will succeed.

I have had Margs, but only one and always on the rocks....just my preference. Most Dr tell you to steer clear of the beer because it is carbonated like soda pop and can cause swelling. I have had  the temptation to try one since I have no trouble with belching (some people do) but I figure...why take the chance! I do not drink much.....I have a couples bottles in the fridge that really should be tossed...they are over two years old!
