has anyone had the novasure ablation, or a d&c

I had the nova sure ablation or probably better known as a utereus ablation and a d&c the same day, has anyone else had this and if so did you bleed afterwords and for how long, I had mine 3 weeks ago tomorrow, and i am stil spotting everyday, not much just enough to have to wear protection.  I cramp a little sometimes also. thanks for any information .                                                                Lisa

I have always had horrible periods and was finally diagnosed with Endometriosis. I began having bleeding episodes for weeks at a time and became severly anemic. After trying all kinds of meds and even the pill again with no luck in slowing them down. I had it done in May 2006 after heavy bleeding for 126 days. It was a God send! Yes I bled afterwards but by the end of April it ceased. The uterus has to heal and and the cramping is just contractions to losen the lining..just like a period.  Now I have 4 periods a year unless under stress...like when my daughter went into labor...and they run for a week, but not nearly the bleeding and no more fist size clots. I still wear pantiliners in case, but that is a small price to pay instead of the what I was going through. I rarely spot.  I also was perimenopausal and have been for 4 years.  I am 44 yrs old. thank you for the information, I was about like you, bleeding, anemic, etc. I am just hoping the spotting stops soon, and before what killed me was the clots, so maybe this will cure me, thanks again

i have had both procedures but at different times...been some yrs ago.... just to be on safe side, i would contact the dr's office and just let them know that you are concerned and just want to make some inquiries in regard to symptoms...

I started researching the nova sure online, and foinf out that I may have bloody discharge for several weeks afterwards, I guess I don't have anything to worry about for now anyways, thanks for the info,.
