Oh My Goodness!!!

Well I can't believe this!!  I am just 15 hours from having my surgery and I just found the Kentucky forum on this site!!  I cant believe that I have been coming to OH  for months and never knew that there was a kentucky site!!  well anyway Hi to everyone!!  I am Janis and I am having my band removed tomorrow and being revised to the RNY.  I am very nervous and excited at the same time.  Dr. Jeff Allen is my surgeon, he is in Louisville.  I just love him and I feel safe in his hands.  He promised me that he will help me get this weight off once and for all!!!  I have had the band for 5 years and have not been successful. He suggested removing it and doing the Rny.  I have to believe he knows what is best for me.  I hope I will be mush more successful that I was with the band.  It is nice to know that this site is here!! I will be sure to come back and visit often.  Good luck to all that have surgery coming up in the near future!!  Lets all be losers together!!  Janis

Well hello there neighbor! Finally someone in Indiana...I am in Salem! We just had a wonderful get together and were able to meet each other face to face! Good luck on your surgery! Keep us posted and glad to see you joining us!

Janis, Now that you found us bookmark us and come back often!  We are an odd lot here but always supportive and not typically ones to criticize (LOL, we save the great debates for our specific surgery boards).  Kinda like wading in the shallow end of the pool compared to some of our other OH boards that get wild and hairy! Congrats on your new surgery today!!!  Know that we are glad to have you join us.  It's also good to see another of Dr. Allen's patients here.  Hope you can join is in the future for a get together either downtown, Suburban or some other fun place.  Hope all has gone well with surgery!
