it probably depends on what kind of insurance you have. i had acid reflux, and alot of back and knee pain, and high blood pressure. i weighed 266 and 5ft 1. i got approved after i had all my records in and my 6 months ,etc.
I hope you get to have it, you will feel like a new person in no time, atleast I have, been almost 4 months down 73 pounds, i feel like a new woman, and some people don't even recognize me now. lol. take care of them grandbabys, i dont have any yet, thank goodness. but i have a niece and nephew 5 and 8 that i try to keep up with, i am like grandma to them. good luck with everything!!
Medicaid covers RNY and DuodenalSwitch as long as you have a BMI over 40, or over 35 with two comorbidities. I suffered from GERD everyday as a preop and haven't had even a hint of it since my surgery and my diabetes has been gone since then too! Oh, have not had to use asthma inhaler since surgery either!! Best wishes for you and your surgery
I owed it to myself to research the duodenal switch before consenting to any other weight loss surgery and so do you. Check out DSFacts.com and DuodenalSwitch.com for more information. Remember think twice, cut once, revisions are risky and revision surgeons are rare.
