I am 4 days post-op and seem to be doing pretty well. I have not had a great amount of pain, mostly just where my port is.  I was just wondering is there anyone from London or East Bernstadt?

The port area always hurts the longest.  It's where they cut into the muscle and secure the port.  Congrats on doing so well!! I'm not from East Bernstadt myself but my Grandmother was.  She's buried in the lower cemetary and my great-grandparents are buried in the upper cemetary.  Not sure what relatives I have there any longer but I'm somehow connected to the Otts and Joneses.

Yeah I've heard that about the port area but I didn't know about the muscle.  There is an old grocery store out old Hwy 80 called Otts. That is probably your kinfolks. I believe the store is closed now. It is in an area west of me called just "Bernstadt".  I live in northern Laurel County.

I remember going to the grocery store as a child with my Grandmother.  that's the one across from the original settlement church right?  That's the cemetary my grandmother is in.  Her maiden name was Herron and I think they lived mostly in the Corbin area.

Yes thats the one. There was an old building on 4th street that used to be called the Herron Building. It was over 100 yrs old.

Hi I lived in London for about 12 years, just recently moved to the Etown/Fort Knox area. I used to work at Per'se Technologies across from China Town. Congratulations on your surgery, hope all goes well for you. I am only 3 weeks post-op and I had the RNY.

Did you know that China Town Burned. They re-opened in the old King Buffet restaurant?  How are you doing with your by-pass? I wanted to have by-pass but with my history of having to have steroids they would not do it.

Yes, I read online about ChinaTown, I spent alot of money there...lol Ive heard alot of people say that the food at the new location isnt as good. I wont be eating there any time soon but I do miss it. How are things going with your band? A friend of mine in London is having RNY soon at Georgetown also. Have a great day! -Tracy

Hi Becka. Yes we are sporting the 'fluffy' hair as my friends call it. Yours seems to be much fuller than mine but hey, we look good! My hair is so fine that if I dont wear it curly its just awful. -Tracy
