Dr. Sonnanstine's seminar

Can anyone give me the date of the next seminar?.  I have a friend who wants to attend.  She has heard so much about our very incredible young doctor.

The seminars are the first Thursday of each month at 6pm.   She can call the office to register......and to make sure I've got the right date and time!        The phone number is (859)212-4625.

i thought it was the 4th tuesday of each month.....sorry i'm thinking of the support group

If you are thinking of the post op support group, they meet the fourth Tuesday of the month (we just met this past Tuesday) at 5:30.  You are more than welcome to bring your friend.  Look forward to seeing you!   Sara

Hi,     If you are thinking about laparoscopic gastric by-pass. Just do it  I am 50 years young. I researched this for three years. My insurence would not cover my surgery. I appealed three times. They make you go through hoops. It will take a will to get a date . But hang in there. I had surgery on March 19,2007. This is my new birthday. I was 339 lbs. I am now 197 lbs. Dr. Sonnanstine is the best Dr. out there. Good life. And God bless.

LOL.....looks like there's some confusion.  I hope I'm not the cause! The Information Session for those looking for information about the surgery is held the first Thursday of each month at 6pm.   Dr. Sonnanstine gives a presentation about the different procedures offered at the center and then opens up the floor for any questions that anyone might have.  For more information or to register, you can call the center at (859)212-4625. The post-op support group meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of the month at 5:30.  This is open to both pre and post-op patients and each month a different topic is discussed or a guest speaker is invited.  The meetings are informative and it's fun to be with others that are going through the same things I'm going through as a WLS patient. 

Chris, I heard you and Brenda will be there.   Is that true?  I would love to see the two of you.  But not sure I can attend a seminar.  Would prefer a support group.  When are you two going to do a support group together?

I have a meeting Thurs over in that area.  Dr. Sonnanstine invited me to the seminar as well.  If the meeting is over in time I should be there.  As for Support group meetings, I have tried to get some going on this side of the river.  Problem is space.  I haven't given up though..I may have a get together her at my house this summer...I will let you all know as soon as I find out more when I get back to business with Dr. Tom...We are working on some things to get me back over there.  He is just so cute, how can I stay away?...lol

Brenda:  DId you check the public library for meetings also  Panara has a room for meetings that is free. I would love another meeting to attend on this side of the river, Indian, Kentucky.  I think the support makes all the difference.  Amy K
