Holiday World/Splashin' Safari
Greetings Kentucky Forum! I'm popping in from the Indiana room to invite you to the Bariatric Day at Holiday World/Splashin' Safari in Santa Claus, Indiana. I live in Spencer County and have agreed to be our "go-to girl" for the event. Holiday World has generously given us a discounted rate of $26.95 per person for the day. Of course this includes both parks, free parking, free unlimited beverages and free sunscreen!
If you'd like to participate, please let me know by responding to this post or by sending me a message. You won't be committing yourself to anything. I will have a table set up outside the admission gates for you to purchase your tickets. We won't even have to wait in line! This will take place on Friday, June 27. I've also arranged for a block of rooms at the Comfort Inn and Suites for $59/night for those who need overnight accommodations. This rate is good for Thursday or Friday or both! We're hoping everyone can bring something to share and we'll do a picnic at Holiday World's large picnic area off of their parking lot. It should be a great day of fun in the sun! We're even going to try to get a photo off us bariatric patients on The Voyage voted the world's #1 wooden roller coaster! FUN FUN FUN Hope some of you can join us! Feel free to contact me if you have questions. Smooches, Jacqui Duncan
Hi Jacqui,
I have mentioned on here not too long ago about a get-together for the Louisville and surrounding area WLs tribe members. Nothing solid has been worked out yet though. Perhaps if there is enough interest we could simply join the group you've got forming! How about it guys??? Any interest?? This sounds better than anything I could have come up with locally anyway!
Hey! The more the merrier I always say. You don't have to be post op to come along. Bring as many as you like. I'm hoping this will be such a great time that OH will take over next year and open it up to the whole site! I just can't handle that many people all by myself.
Glad to see some of you are planning to join us. We, in the Indiana Forum, have several get togethers throughout the year. Anyone is welcome to attend them. A lot of our people have their surgeries in Kentucky. My sister did! Can't wait to meet some of you. Jacqui
