Georgetown?? Federal BCBS??

Has anyone had or going to have surgery in Georgetown?   Does anyone have Federal Blue Cross Blue Shield?

I had my surgery under BC/BS FEP -- easy peasy.  Hope that helps. Nancy

How long did it take to get approved?  What was your total out of pocket expense?

Once they get the paperwork, it should be approved w/in 48 hrs. I had a DS in a different state with an out of network provider, YMMV. If you don't go out of network, it shouldn't be too bad depending on your deductable situation etc. Good luck, N

li i logged onto this  web site approx 6-8 wks ago.  it has been  a great site for  information and encouragement... i live within 10 miles of stearns.  until i seriously started thinking of making this step toward a healthier life , i thought i was the only  one locally.. i have met at least 3 others in our community that have had the lapband... good luck , attending seminars very helpful and members on this site very helpful. still waiting on insurance approval . have 1st appt with dr in 2 wks...from what i understand sometimes insurance approval  slow,  but worth the wait...again good luck

Wow, it's so nice to meet someone SO close to me.  How old are you?  I have really good insurance so it should only take a couple days to get approved.  What's your name?  Maybe we know each other.  Great to hear from you.

I think I might know who you are..after reading your profile, given your line of work.  I'm not sure though.  If you look at my profile and see my pictures you will probably know who I am if you are the person I'm thinking about.

I have BC/BS FEP and it did not take long, about 21 days.  If you talk to Petra and do everything they tell you, it should be a breeze. When I called and asked the questions and gave the office the answers from the questionnaire they gave me, brought in all my info.  I was approved.  No problem. Z
