Any interest in a Louisville area get together??

Dawn and I were talking at the last Norton's support group that a get together for the Louisville and outlying area  members of the WLS tribe could be really fun and interesting!   This wouldn't just be for the Norton's people and wouldn't be limited to any specifics types of WLS or even non-WLS. I'm wondering though if there's anyone else would be interested in some sort of outing?  I thought perhaps the Louisville Zoo or maybe a something akin to that where an activity could be centered AWAY from food.  A picnic might be nice though..... Right now, I'm just looking for some feedback on any interest and then maybe some suggestions on location!!

Sounds great!!!  Sign me up.   I am having my surgery on 6-2 so either before or after would be great for me.  I live in Jeffersonville, about 5 minutes from downtown Louisville.  I am also interested in attending support meetings but cannot really figure out when or where.  Any help with that would also be great.

I am into it and not opposed at all to food centered meetings like at a restaurant or something.  A picnic sounds great!

im game for food related too. We just didnt know how well that would go over. I know Beck and I both have lil ones and Missy has a young one too. Irquois park has a great new playground but it stays BUSY!!!  I very rarely dont have Katelyn so Is that a problem?? I just dont want to attend the downtown meeting about sleep apnea again!! blah.. I woujld love to get together with folks, but anything w/ more than minor walking is out for me (very bad knee). But don't let me put the kibosh on such an outing for others! Nancy

Well that explains why we haven't seen you on here!! Dawn and I missed you at the meeting a couple of weeks ago! Congrats on surviving grad school!!

OK, How about we plan something for June the 7th or 14th?  Both of these are Saturdays to accomodate basic work schedules but that's certainly flexible.  Gimme some feedback and tell me what day and if early or evening works best.  How about Huber's Winery??  There's an awesome petting zoo area and I think a pony ride area for kids.  I'll check and see if there are picnic facilities and/or what their menu has that's on the healthy side.  I've eaten at the restaurant and can vouch that there's only a couple of healthy selections but haven't eaten at the winery itself.  I'll start checking on some more of the specifics.  I'm also open to other suggestions if that doesn't float y'all boat!
