I'm back!  Hubby and I drove to Cleveland and back over the weekend.  I love road trips but they play havoc for munchies!  I didn't do bad at all as I only took a baggies of pretzels and carrot sticks for me.  We also split our first restaurant meal since Richard's banding.  He's on mushies/soft foods so we had grilled fish and a baked potato with green beans.  LOL....it's the first time we have walked out of a sit down place and only spent $15 to feed two people in our lives!! I'm going to skip the nutritional counts today as I made chili and am not sure how to do the counts.  It's made very healthy but i'm too much of an airhead to figure out the rest of it today! FOOD B:  StarBECK's skinny cini dulce latte L:  1 cup of chili with 6 saltines S:  Snicker's marathon protein bar D:  more chili!! FLUIDS 8oz coffee 8oz milk 32oz water in my gym jug

EXERCISE

I ended up doing 60 minutes strength training and NO CARDIO    I finally got with a trainer today and she helped me reduce the number of strength machines I was doing.  I'm hoping this will give me about a 30 minute strength workout each time and i'm currently up to 45 minutes cardio.  I'm hoping to eventually get that up to a solid hour.  I am going to focus more on burning calories and less on muscle building and hopefully get my scale moving again since I'm eating within the guidelines but still not losing.  Anyway, I was just getting set up on the exercise bike when the child care closed and they brought Gracie to me!  I'm now waiting on Richard to get done fiddling with his newest project in the "garage-ma-hal" so we can take a walk since I still need to do some sort of cardio!!

I would love to share dinner with my hubby but he likes to stir in it and then give you what he doesn't want so I just get my own and we waste a lot of food and money.  I used to eat his and mine.  Glad you had a good road trip. B - 2 cups of hot tea.  L - homemade protein lovers salad, ham, turkey,  provolone cheese w/salad greens and greek feta dressing.  Snack - 4 ginger snap cookies. D - plan to eat a meal replacement protein bar. I was slow starting this morning so I plan to get on the treadmill for 30 minutes and the ab lounger for 15.  Afternoon exercising is new to me but I need to increase my workout, at least on the weekends.

Great to see what you fellow banders are eating!!!  It gives me hope since I'm only 5 days out and still drinking those liquids, but know it's just a matter of time till I'm eating "real" food again, just in much smaller quantities than I have the last 30 years.  Becka, glad to hear you all had a great trip and  it sounds like Richard is doing well.  Man, am I lookin' forward to those mashed potatoes, applesauce and pudding soon.  Yum, Yum!  Back to teaching school tomorrow, but it should be an easy week.  Have a great week, all!

Hey Vicki, I know you don't need me to tell you BUT you just had the granddaddy WLS.  Go slow and give yourself all the time you need to heal!  BTW, When do you go back to work?

Thanks Becka!  I appreciate your concern.   I just feel so good sitting down.  My side hurts really bad but I need to keep moving - I may have to do a few laps inside the house this morning, brrrrr.  I just wanna get out of this house.  I have 2 more weeks off and will take more time if I need it.   I am trying to go slow and feel like I am progressing slower than most so it does get me down but time will make it better.
