I had laproscopic RNY bypass on 2-7-08 and have done well except for eatting meat.  This weekend I had a bad time, everything I seemed to eat I threw up.  I didn't dump and get ill I just threw up.  Sat night I had a sour stomach and today I have had bad stomach pains.  Dr. Wheeler took me off my stomach medicine I took for Gerd now I think I may need medicine again and QUICKLY.  When should I be concerned enough to call the doctor?  Should I try a liquid/soft diet for a while or just call them and tell them about the pain I'm having?  I don't want to be a whiner so I don't know exactly what would be best to do.  Anyone been through this?  Thanks!

If you are concerned, you should call...That is what they are there for.  I do not know your Doc, but am sure that he would want you to call if you have any questions or concernes. Best of luck to you Amy

Hey there,      I didn't throw up but a little over a week ago I was in the same situation. I have prevacid solutabs, and I doubled up on them and then called the dr. office the next day,. she told me to keep taking 2 instead of one, because I had gerd before surgery also, and I was on 2 -40mg prilosec a day. since i doubled up, I have been doing alot better!! I haven't threw up any, but I felt like crap and my tummy about killed me. call them tomorrow and tell them for sure, and tell them you took before surgery!!! hope you start feeling better!!!! get well soon, Lisa
