Today I went in and had my 6 month follow up,, He and his med tech was so complimentary!! He couldn't beleive how well I am doing! My blood pressure is 100/60 lower than its ever been. He wanted to check my cholestrol and stuff but I had drank a protein drink.. So thyroid bloodwork was done and we talked about what Casey had said last night.  He concurred that yes I am not eating enough and he really would like to see me put the band adjustment off to see how well I loose eating CORRECTLY as he put it. I think at this point it's a motivator to see how much I can loose with out adjusting it. Its like a head game to me. I am terrified of adjusting it and being too tight.. and I can see insurance paying for multiple fluroscopy fills.. May call Holly and see what she recommends maybe  a visit to Dr. Shina is in order???    Anyone wanna "WEIGH IN" on this?? I enjoyed last nights group so much more than the others. I'd rather be able to talk out things then listen to some of the things we have like the sleep apnea thing... dawn

Congrats on the reduced BP!!   OK, here's my new reformulated opinion!! Since you are so anxious about getting a fill I think you should WAIT.  You know your body better than anyone else.  I don't see any harm in waiting until you are ready, so long as you are happy with your rate of weight loss.  You need to think about it from a body, MIND and soul approach.  If the weight loss totally stops then I'm sure you'll be making that phone call quickly!  I doesn't make any sense to make yourself so anxious about it.  Maybe the new approach to the diet will make a ton of difference and you can put off the fill for a few more months!

it looks to me like you have done a fantastic job without an adjustment, now I am not a bander but why fix what's not broken?  Especially if it causes you anxiety, I think the extra stress the adjustment causes you might sabotage your progress.   It's great to so many people going to the meetings, I hope to make it to the suburban meeting after my surgery.  Best wishes with your decision but you look like you are doing great!
I owed it to myself to research the duodenal switch before consenting to any other weight loss surgery and so do you.  Check out DSFacts.com and DuodenalSwitch.com for more information.  Remember think twice, cut once, revisions are risky and revision surgeons are rare.
