Hi Lisa, I am so sorry you are feeling this way. You are not a failure. The band doesn't work for everyone. Have you tried posting on the LapBand Forum for help? If you are interested in a revision to DS come on over to the DS Forum there are lots of great people who have had revisions and are willing to answer your questions. Hang in there honey.
I owed it to myself to research the duodenal switch before consenting to any other weight loss surgery and so do you. Check out DSFacts.com and DuodenalSwitch.com for more information. Remember think twice, cut once, revisions are risky and revision surgeons are rare.

LisaAnn,
Did you check into the hiatal hernia that we talked about yet? If the band isn't working for you there's no reason to be embarressed but please don't give up without a fight!! The good thing about the band is it can come out if needed and as Vicki said you DO HAVE OTHER OPTIONS!!
We are here for you!
